Indigenous music icon Shelly Morris played to a spellbound Lighthouse audience last Tuesday August 15th as part of the 2017 Darwin Festival.
Setting the scene with a solo set, Shelly was joined on stage by Wityana Marika, the wonderful Dhapanbsl Yunupinguand and later by her full band and an Indigenous chorale from Yirrkala to finish of her performance, gaining her a standing ovation.
Shelly continues to inspire through her music, with songs sung in English and language captivating the crowd and her story telling filling the Lighthouse with culture and magic and creating an inclusive atmosphere, leading to sing-alongs and laughter.
A great vibe from a great artist and her musical friends.
