TERRORFEST 2017 – BRINGING THE HEAVY TO DARWIN

Words by Steve 'Habibi' Kelk

Darwin’s heavy music scene got to bliss out at this year’s TerrorFest at the PINT Sporting and Social Club at Marrara last Saturday, with a huge range of local acts displaying their chops before headliners Polaris (Sydney) ramped things up to eleven. With so many bands and three photographers, we had to split our photo album of the event into two – check out our full albums of the event here:

We thank Benjamin Masters and all his crew for once again putting on a class event that is sure to get even bigger and better. We would go into fine detail about each and every performance, but that would take days – take it from us, if heavy music is your thing and you weren’t there – ‘SAD’.

Local bands make the local scene and Darwin is one of the hottest scenes in the country, always punching way above our weight, especially in metal and heavy rock. That is what attracts interstate acts to make the journey north to rock out with some of the best in the country.

What we have is special. Our scene is thriving thanks to the hard work and dedication of Ben and all the crew and bands that make this festival successful year after year. Foldback Magazine is very much looking forward to TF 2018!
