National Live Music Awards Announce Final Lineups For Australia-Wide Events

This morning, the National Live Music Awards are excited to reveal the final lineups for the run of simultaneous events happening next Wednesday, 4th December.

The awards are the only of their kind, with an event in every State and Territory around the country on the same night. Along the way, organisers expect over a thousand guests to experience some 35 live performances, and witness 62 awards handed out to musicians, venues, events and people behind the scenes.

Highlights for the events include an Open Mic Night in Sydney hosted by Georgia Mooney, with artists like Montaigne, Lisa Caruso and Bonniesongs set to hit the stage. In Launceston, guests will get their taste of two of the acts set to light the city on fire in January as part of Mona Foma, in our first ever Mofo Sessions collaboration. And Live Legend inductee Deborah Conway is set to hit the stage with William Zygier at the Brisbane gala.

Brisbane
The National Live Music Awards Gala

This year, the NLMAs gala will have no less than three hosts – none other than The Triffid’s infamous Not On Your Rider Trio: Patience Hodgson (The Grates), Aimon Clark (The Creases) and Jeremy Neale (Jeremy Neale, Velociraptor), in the surrounds of a unique stage set up thanks to our partners FV by Peppers.

The night will include performances from Live Legend inductee Deborah Conway with William Zygier, plus nominees Jack CartyLittle Georgia, William Barton and a very special performance from The Blockades, who were one of our favourite acts that took part in this year’s QUBE Effect Program, presented by event partners Brisbane City Council.

Adelaide

With performances from nominees Oscar The Wild and Alana Jagt, alongside special guests Saint Jacques, our first ever event at The Crown & Anchor Hotel is shaping up to be a special night indeed. Launceston
Presented in collaboration with The Mofo Sessions

At Launceston’s Royal Oak Hotel, the NLMAs are partnering with The Mofo Sessions to present a very special night of music, kicking off with Animals with Big Heads – who are presented by the Tasmanian Rock Challenge, last year’s recipient of the All Ages Achievement award.

In anticipation of the return of nominees MONA FOMA to Launceston in January, the festival is proudly presenting The Toilet Brushes (the King Ubu house band) and Philomath for this special Mofo Sessions collaborative event. This FREE event is your first taste of the exciting Mona Foma season to come, and is presented with the support of our media partners Edge Radio. The night will be hosted by Adam Davison.

Sydney
Georgia Mooney’s “Open Mic Night”

Hosted by Georgia Mooney of All Our Exes Live in Texas and the “Supergroup” series at Giant Dwarf, the night will feature a number of announced and surprise live performances in the beautiful, intimate surrounds of The Newsagency.

Appearing on the night is a superstar lineup of Australia’s finest female voices, including MontaigneAlice TerrySam Buckingham, Imogen Clark, Alison Avron, Katie Brianna, Elizabeth Fader, Lisa Caruso, Bonniesongs and still more to be announced, plus some surprises we’re saving for the night.
