East Journey – Headlining Act For NIMA
The boys from Arnhem Land, East Journey, are set to perform as one of headlining acts at this year’s National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMA)
They will be performing alongside their mentors and musical legends Yothu Yindi when they take the stage at NIMA next month in Darwin.
Releasing their new film clip Song of Arnhem Land – a collaboration with Yothu Yindi – off The Genesis Project, East Journey’s dedication to their music is unyielding. Song of Arnhem Land tells a story about the band’s deep and personal connection to their home.
East Journey are also up for two nominations in the NT song of the year awards in the rock category.
NIMA kicks off July 25 at the Darwin Ampitheatre (George Brown Botanical Gardens) , so don’t forget to get your tickets for the awards ceremony.
