Ripped Jeans And Angry Screams – Fringe Festival Punk Night
Last Saturday the Darwin Railway Club held Punk Night, a Darwin Fringe Festival event that had brought ripped jeans and flannel’s out of retirement for a night filled with loud, fast, and aggressive rock music.
Making their debut, The World’s Fear put on an energetic start to the night that was followed shortly by house band The Lunatics who added their fantastic flair to the mix with some great Ska thrown in.
Despite the absence of two of their band members due to unforeseen circumstances, James and Peter from Snapchat Regret did not fall short and put on a killer acoustic cover set covering songs from Greenday to Bullet For My Valentine, with a Snapchat Regret original “Make your move” to finish it off.
Micah Hook had also made an impromptu appearance later in the night, performing three of his original songs to keep the flow whilst headlining act 17Zer01 set up stage.
17Zer01 finished off the night bringing their aggressive flavour of old school anarchy to the venue and for the first time ever, played their full 14 song set!
A huge congrats and thanks to the Railway Club, the bands, the Festival organisers and all involved – we couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish the week.
