Clifton Moves Up With New Track & Vid Drop

Darwin rapper Emcee Clifton has dropped another quality track and vid this week with ‘Movin’ Up‘, making yet another indelible mark on the local scene.

Known for his intensity, this latest release from Clifton shows a growing maturity with an element of positivity that turns the intensity down a notch, revealing a more multidimensional artist under the usual existential-angst visage. ‘Movin’ Up‘ shows us a more confident Clifton with a willingness to experiment with a glitched lyrical section and a positive countenance. The chorus hook should get the crowd singing along when performed live. The flow is impressive – intelligent story-telling at 78 speed.

The video is thoughtful, well produced and typical of an artist for whom half-arsed work is anathema. Clifton does put in the hard work and chooses his collaborators wisely.
