TAPESTRY’S NEW EP ‘GHOST OF ME’
+ OPENING POLARIS' MORTAL COIL TOUR
Tapestry, the NT’s premier melodic hardcore outfit, are today announcing the news to the world about their brand new EP, ‘Ghost of Me‘, which will see its release on Friday March 30th. To celebrate this news, they are releasing new single ‘Ghost‘ and a superbly unique and striking film clip.
The EP is available on iTunes (with Ghost being made available for download with pre-orders) and Google Play, and the single will be available for streaming at Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon.
Already having announced their inclusion on the Polaris‘ Mortal Coil album tour (with Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and 2 out of 3 Melbourne shows already sold out!), along with other supports The Plot In You & Ambleside, the melodic-hardcore sadboiz from the Top End are on more than a roll from the outset of this year. They have also just supported In Hearts Wake in their hometown just recently, and Triple M Homegrown‘s Jane Gazzo have named them “ones to watch in 2018”. triple j presenters Bridget Hustwaite, Dave Ruby Howe and Declan Byrne all praised previous single Dark Shade with four-star reviews on triple j unearthed.
Tom Devine-Harrison, vocalist for Tapestry, espresses that they are enthusiastic for the release and the year to come. “This is the release we have been itching to release for quite some time now. We took our time crafting it and making sure it was exactly what we wanted to put out into the world before showing it to everyone, but now it’s finished, we can’t wait to get it out there and show everyone on this tour what we’ve been keeping under wraps. We are so stoked for what the rest of 2018 brings.“
The group exploded after their response from their first-show supporting Storm the Sky in March of that year. After releasing their first single ‘Bond’ in September of 2015, the group caught the attention of the public eye around Australia racking up support slots for Northlane and the annual festival ‘Terrorfest’ and embarked on an east coast tour supporting bands such as The Brave and Advocates. The response around that release has opened doors including their appearance on Darwin’s biggest music festival BASSINTHEGRASS 2016 alongside Violent Soho and Angus & Julia Stone.
The band have won multiple awards including the 2016 NT Heavy Song of the Year award for their track ‘Bond’, 2016 NT Live Act of the Year for the National Live Music Awards and have showcased at Australia’s biggest music conference BIGSOUND 2016. The band recently signed for management and bookings with Gabriel Caques of Backbone Bookings.
